University Symphony Orchestra to celebrate Classical era

KALAMAZOO, Mich.—The Western Michigan University Symphony Orchestra will perform music from the Classical era in a free concert at 3 p.m. Sunday, March 19, in the Dalton Center Recital Hall on WMU's main campus.

University Symphony Orchestra and conductor Bruce Uchimura

Under the direction of conductor Bruce Uchimura, the University Symphony Orchestra will perform "Rosamunde Overture" by Franz Peter Schubert, Symphony No. 29 in A Major by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, a very mature work composed by a very young Mozart, and the heroic "Egmont Overture" by Ludwig van Beethoven.
