WMU welcomes new director of international admissions
KALAMAZOO, Mich.—A new director of international admissions and services has joined Western Michigan University's Haenicke Institute for Global Education.
Dr. M.K. Mohanan brings to WMU deep expertise in international admissions and the enrollment management lifecycle from his work at Cleveland State University, Rutgers University, the University of Tennessee-Knoxville and Wayne State University.
Mohanan, who starts Monday, Sept. 9, will be leading WMU’s comprehensive international enrollment and retention plan at the undergraduate and graduate levels.
“I am delighted that Dr. Mohanan is joining WMU," says Dr. Paulo Zagalo-Melo, HIGE associate provost.
"His background in international recruitment and admissions, combined with his understanding of graduate recruitment and professional experience in higher education, will strengthen the Haenicke Institute’s team.”
Mohanan earned a doctor's and master's of philosophy international studies from Jawaharlal Nehru University in New Delhi, India. He also a bachelor's and master's degre in political science from the University of Kerala, which also in in India.
