Bio:

Dr. Rena VanDerwall is a certified special education teacher, Board Certified Behavior Analyst and Assistant Professor in Special Education at Western Michigan University. Prior to coming to Western Michigan University, she worked as a special education teacher, teacher consultant, behavior support staff, and Dean of Specialized Services in both Chicago, Illinois and Kalamazoo, Michigan. Dr. VanDerwall’s teaching and research focuses on teacher preparation, applied behavior analysis, positive behavior supports, and supporting students with emotional and behavioral disorders.
