Make a Gift

The Osher Lifelong Learning Institute at Western Michigan University is a membership- and volunteer-driven organization. Even though instructors are unpaid volunteers, the Institute incurs other costs related to course offerings. Additionally, there are people in the community who cannot afford the cost of our classes.

Subsequently, membership and class fees do not cover all costs associated with operating the Institute and additional funds are needed.

Through the University Advancement and Alumni Relations Office, we accept donations to either our Operating Fund (to help cover operating expenses, administration, publications, marketing, etc.) or our Scholarship Fund (available to those who need assistance paying fees for classes).

WMU recommends that donors consult with their tax advisor regarding the tax deductible status of their gift.
