Paper Students at Green Bay Packaging during their 2022 fall field trip.

How Our Students Succeed

The WMU Paper Technology Foundation recruits students for the paper engineering program and provides them with the necessary tools to help them succeed. Students receive competitive scholarships, career development, paid internships and job placement upon graduation.

The Paper Technology Foundation is a 501c(3) not-for-profit organization. Since its inception in 1958, more than 1,200 WMU paper engineers have been educated and trained for influential careers in the paper and allied industries. The PTF continues to make meaningful contributions to the academic department curriculum and provide mentoring and resources to paper engineering students.

Our corporate partners invest in the Paper Technology Foundation and future paper engineers by connecting with students, providing professional mentoring, funding scholarships, and offering intern, co-op and career placement opportunities.
