United Way Campaign for 2014

Dear Friends,

With our WMU United Way campaign well underway, I want to express my heartfelt appreciation for your support and partnership. As you know, United Way is focused on having a meaningful, measurable impact in education, health, financial stability and basic needs. Whenever I see the payoff in transformed lives, it reminds me that this impact would be impossible without you.

By now, every faculty member, staff employee and retiree of WMU should have received a donation packet. For those who might not have received a packet, but are interested in contributing to this year's campaign, please email wmu-united-way@wmich.edu and materials will be sent to you.

For those of you who've already given, I want to say “thank you.” Our University is known for its generosity, its compassion and its determination to change the story. This is where the partnership that distinguishes our region is so valuable. When some are struggling, others step in to help.

I encourage everyone to join the cause. If you cannot contribute a monetary gift this year, consider serving as a volunteer or advocate for United Way. Let's demonstrate our commitment to building a strong and sustainable society by doing all we can to ensure everyone has access to education, income and health. Thank you for your continued support and your thoughtful consideration.

Most sincerely,

President John M. Dunn
