Venture Grant Application Support

Experience-Driven Learning Rubric

The developing EDL rubric is intended to support reflection and planning rather than function as a grading tool. For Experience-Driven Learning in Practice, faculty will use the rubric to reflect on the course as it currently exists. For Innovation Grants, applicants will use the rubric to identify areas the proposed innovation is intended to strengthen. Rubric levels will be presented descriptively without numerical scores.

Applicant support

Faculty will have access to proposal-development support during the application period. Planned support may include an introductory session on the opportunities and application requirements; consultation with the Center for Teaching, Learning and Development on project design, learning outcomes, EDL/rubric alignment, and assessment; and assistance from Government Relations and Community Engagement for projects involving community, client, employer or other external partnerships and/or the Office of Research and Innovation for projects involving research.

Participation in applicant-support opportunities is encouraged but is not required or scored.
