Registration for summer programming at the McGinnis Reading Center and Clinic is now open. Please be aware that space is limited and programs fill quickly. Summer Camp

Description: 

This two-week summer camp will develop students' critical thinking and creativity through problem-based learning. Activities will include book read alouds, critical problem solving, and engineering design process. 

Grade levels: 

Kindergarten–5th Grade

Cost: 

$200 total (including a $50 non-refundable deposit)

To register, please submit a $50 non-refundable deposit using the link below. After receiving your deposit, we will send you an email within 2 business days with links to the required registration forms and an invoice for the additional $150. 

Scholarships:

Please be aware that a limited number of full scholarships are available on a first-come, first-served basis for families who qualify for free or reduced lunch. Please contact our office at 269-387-3534 to apply.

July 8–July 19 (Monday through Friday) 

8:30 a.m.–12:30 p.m.

Tutoring

Description: 

This program will offer participants individualized instruction in concepts, such as phonics, vocabulary, fluency, and comprehension. Tutors use a strengths-based approach to engage students in learning that supports their critical literacy skills and fosters greater self-confidence and an appreciation for lifelong learning. 

Grade levels: 

Kindergarten–8th Grade

Cost: 

Tutoring tuition is based on a sliding scale according to each family's income level and ranges from $25 to $150. To register, please submit a $25 non-refundable deposit using the link below. This deposit will later be applied to your total tuition fee. After receiving your deposit, we will send you an email within 2 business days with links to the required registration forms. Once these forms are completed, you will receive an invoice for your tutoring tuition.
