Internship helps brew exciting career now on tap for student

Marcel Zondag, associate professor of marketing, Taylor scored a marketing internship at Arcadia Brewing in Kalamazoo. That turned into a part-time job doing social media marketing for the brewery. According to a recent survey of WMU graduates , 61% had a job while they were a student that allowed them to apply what they were learning in the classroom. The real-world experience Taylor gained at Arcadia set her apart from the pack as she was interviewing for full-time jobs in anticipation of graduation.

Results “The results of this program surpassed our expectations,” says Dr. Satish Deshpande , dean of Haworth College of Business. “Our marketing team in the college did a great job coordinating all the elements of the program and the communications, and our alumni have been very enthusiastic about the program and publication.” The website for 30 Under 30 received more than 37,105 views, with 26,596 unique views.
