Vincent Reitano, Ph.D., has published peer-reviewed research examining public budgeting and finance in a range of journals including American Review of Public Administration, Contemporary Economic Policy, Journal of Government Financial Management, Public Budgeting & Finance, and Public Finance Review. His research focuses on fiscal reserves and budget forecasting. Dr. Reitano also coauthored Financial Foundations for Thriving Communities, a text that offers institutional design principles and leadership strategies for public finance officers.  Prior to joining the SPAA faculty, he worked for the Government Finance Officers Association and Department of Defense. At WMU, Dr. Reitano specializes in teaching Public Budgeting & Accounting, Nonprofit Accounting & Finance, and Quantitative Data Analysis I & II, among other SPAA courses:
