2018-20 Objectives
This is our college’s third SIP submission. Since becoming a signatory in 2012, the Haworth College of Business has made considerable progress using PRME to accomplish our goal of nurturing the next generation of responsible business leaders.
Sustainability is becoming integrated in the college’s programs and course offerings. PRME continues to provide opportunities to assist us on our sustainability journey.
Throughout the next 24 months we will:
- Continue to leverage our PRME membership
- Increase awareness within the college of our signatory status
- Engage externally in PRME-related programs
- Encourage more faculty to integrate service-learning into their existing courses
- Support decisions that will lead to more course offerings that are focused on sustainability
- Increase awareness throughout the college of the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals
- Tie the Sustainable Development Goals to Center for Sustainable Business Practice offerings
- Develop and nurture partnerships with southwest Michigan sustainability leaders
- Continue to collaborate with colleagues across Western Michigan University to promote a campus-wide culture that embraces sustainability
