To participate in the TRIO Student Success Program, students must be enrolled or accepted for enrollment at Western Michigan University.
First-generation, income-eligible college students with academic need and college students with disabilities are eligible to participate in TRIO projects.
- First-generation is defined as neither parent has received a four-year degree or if the primary supporting parent doesn’t have a four-year degree.
- Income Eligible is defined by the U.S. Department of Education as an individual whose family's taxable income for the preceding year did not exceed 150 percent of the poverty level amount. This number is adjusted yearly and is based on your taxable income. For current income levels click here.
