Speech-Language Treatment Research on adults with Aphasia at Unified Clinics

Dr. Suma Devanga (Speech Language Pathologist-Clinical Fellow) has secured WMU's 2018 Support for Faculty Scholars award to conduct research on aphasia treatment. The focus of this research is to study the communicative changes from a conversation-based treatment on adults who have been diagnosed with aphasia due to a stroke or brain injury.

Dr. Devanga's research team includes graduate and undergraduate students who have been trained in the Neurogenic Communication Intervention Laboratory, located in the College of Health and Human Services. Please see the flyer if you are an individual with aphasia or a caregiver interested in participating in this treatment research.
