Social work faculty member, student intern start Wellness and Recovery group

Behavioral Health Services, part of the Western Michigan University Unified Clinics, is now offering a new recovery group. The Wellness and Recovery group is a group for adults at any stage of readiness who are working to make changes to enhance their wellness and recovery.

Using the evidence-based practice model "Motivational Groups for Community Substance Use Treatment" developed by the Mid-Atlantic Addiction Technology Transfer Center, the group meets every Wednesday from 5 to 6:30 p.m.  Clients can join at any point in their treatment, and attend for as long as the group is a useful tool for them. The group is co-facilitated by Jennifer Harrison, PhD, LMSW, CAADC, and a MSW student intern.

Contact Behavioral Health Services at (269) 387-8230 if you are interested in adding this group offering to your recovery services.
