Soprano Elizabeth Cameron is a versatile performer, having enjoyed success in a wide variety of genres. Cameron has been featured as soprano soloist in Haydn's Creation with the Central Michigan University Festival Chorus, Bach′s Magnificat with Ann Arbor Cantata Singers, Handel′s Messiah with the Mennonite Choral Society, Mozart′s Requiem with the Bay View Festival Choir, as well as Stravinsky′s Pulcinella, Mahler′s Symphony Number 4, and Handel’s Messiah with the Lawrence Symphony Orchestra. Additionally, she has presented solo recitals in Iowa, Maryland, Michigan, New York, and Wisconsin. 

As an actress, Cameron′s theater performances include the title role in Anna Karenina and Martine in Learned Ladies. Musical theater credits include Rizzo in Grease, Lilli/Kate in Kiss Me Kate, Zinia in an Off-Broadway workshop production of Tear Gas, Rose in Secret Garden, Julie Jordan and Cousin Nettie in Carousel, Mother Abbess in The Sound of Music, and a player in Godspell. Elizabeth Cameron has also appeared on NBC′s Law and Order.

Operatically, Cameron has performed the role of Despina in productions of Così fan tutte with both Chicago’s Da Corneto Opera and Cedar Rapids Opera Theater. Other performance highlights include the role of Ms. Wordsworth in the University of Michigan Opera Theater production of Benjamin Britten′s Albert Herring and Ein Sklave in Richard Strauss′s Salome with Cedar Rapids Opera Theater. Additional roles include Musetta in La Bohème, both Suor Angelica and Genovieffa in Suor Angelica, Ma Moss in The Tenderland, and Miss Todd in The Old Maid and the Thief.

A passionate educator, Elizabeth Cameron is currently an instructor of voice at Western Michigan University, and has held faculty positions as Assistant Professor of Voice at Central Michigan University, Adjunct Professor of Voice at Grand Valley State University, Adjunct Instructor of Voice at Western Michigan University, and Instructor of Voice at Bergen Academy of Music and Art (NJ), Concordia Conservatory (NY), and Rosedale Achievement Center (NYC). She maintains a voice studio in Petoskey, MI, and Kalamazoo, MI known as Stoner Studio. She is also the music director for musical productions at the Bay View Music Festival.

Elizabeth Cameron earned her Doctor of Musical Arts degree from the University of Michigan where she also held the position of Graduate Student Instructor of Voice. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree in theater performance and Bachelor of Music degree in vocal performance magna cum laude at Lawrence University and Conservatory, and her Master of Music degree in voice performance from the Manhattan School of Music.
