Bio:

Dr. Dinesh Maddipatla is a Western Michigan University assistant professor in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering. With over 10 years of expertise, his research centers on the design, fabrication, and characterization of advanced electronic systems for biomedical, environmental, and defense applications. His work, supported during his graduate studies by grants from federal agencies and industrial contracts, advances flexible hybrid electronic devices, sensors and energy storage systems to enhance health and quality of life.

Maddipatla has authored or co-authored more than 135 peer-reviewed publications in internationally recognized journals and conferences, and has over 20 intellectual property disclosures and U.S. patents. He serves as an associate editor for two international journals, has chaired sessions at IEEE conferences and has reviewed over 200 manuscripts for more than 40 high-impact journals and conferences. 

Maddipatla was awarded the Technology Transfer Talent Network (T3N) from the state of Michigan and WMU's All-University Research and Creative Scholar Award Dissertation Completion Fellowship.

At WMU, Maddipatla's teaching focuses on fostering hands-on learning and critical thinking. He actively mentors undergraduate and graduate students to advance interdisciplinary engineering solutions.
