Western Michigan Institute offers three programs leading to a Bachelor of Business Administration degree:

Accountancy: Known for its proven track record and rigor, the accountancy program at Western Michigan University is dedicated to preparing you for a rewarding career in accounting. In our highly recognized program, you will learn to analyze and solve problems. Our curriculum requirements will help you develop skills to think critically, communicate effectively and use information technology. Accountancy program information 

Finance: Our finance major is the first to be recognized by the Chartered Financial Analyst Institute University Recognition Program in the state of Michigan. In the finance program, you will develop a broad understanding of financial decision-making. Nationally recognized by Financial Planning Magazine and certified by the Certified Financial Planner Board, the personal financial planning major will help you gain a strong foundation in financial planning. Learn about investments while managing $3 million of real money, with additional opportunities to prepare for the certification exams and earn Bloomberg certification.

Digital marketing and eCommerce: Our program combines marketing and information systems to prepare students for careers in fields such as eCommerce, data analytics, digital marketing, social media and web application development services. Students will study digital technologies, web applications, web design and digital marketing practices in order to solve contemporary business problems and meet challenges in the rapidly changing digital marketplace..

Graduate programs

While you are completing your bachelor's degree in Kalamazoo, you have an ideal opportunity to explore options for pursuing graduate studies in the United States. Western Michigan University offers two programs of interest to Western Michigan Institute, Guizhou University of Finance and Economics students.

Master of Science in Accountancy: The Master of Science in Accountancy prepares students to take many of the professional certification examinations. The M.S.A. program is designed to provide greater breadth and depth in accounting and business than that delivered in the undergraduate accountancy program. The curriculum helps students further develop their technical expertise, communication skills and understanding of the role of accountants in organizations. Coursework will be selected from the areas of financial accounting, cost and managerial accounting, auditing, taxation, not-for-profit accounting, accounting fraud and accounting systems. Once you have earned an undergraduate degree in accountancy, you can complete the M.S.A. program in as few as three semesters if you enroll in a full load of courses each semester.

Master of Business Administration: The MBA program is designed to broaden the functional business knowledge and strengthen the leadership skills of working professionals, as well as international students seeking to continue their business studies in the United States. The MBA program's flexibility allows customization of studies to suit your goals. The program may be completed in two years, although students with prior business education may accelerate through the program in less time. Students with full-time employment may take up to six years to complete the program, with most working professionals taking three to four years to complete the program.
