Katie Rockett is the Programming and Advising Graduate Assistant for the Lee Honors College. Her role includes working with our transfer students and helping to supervise our Peer Student Success Team. She graduated from Oakland University with her bachelor’s degree in psychology and a minor in interactive and social media in 2021. At OU, she worked in the Office of Undergraduate Admissions and developed a passion for working with students. An honors student herself, she values the research opportunities, individualized attention, and drive for excellence that university honors programs promote - especially here at the LHC! Now, she attends Western Michigan University to obtain her master’s degree in industrial/organizational behavior management and is a member of the Industrial Organizational Graduate Student Organization.

Katie’s academic and professional interests include training and development, motivation and satisfaction in the workplace, continuous process improvement, behavioral systems analysis, and helping people lead fulfilling careers. Ms. Rockett enjoys spending time with friends and family (especially her cat, Lily), reading, and playing board games and video games.

Have questions about transferring into the honors college or serving as a PSST mentor? Visit Katie during an Ask Me Anything session on Wednesday, Nov. 9 from 9:30-11 a.m. in the Seminar Room located in the LHC Lobby. You’re also welcome to email questions to Katie.
