Kurt Lentner, 1996 Lee Honors College Graduate and Medallion Scholar

Kurt Lentner graduated from Western Michigan University and the Lee Honors College in 1996 with a Bachelor of Science in mechanical engineering. In 1994, he joined Stryker as a manufacturing engineering intern with the Instruments division. He later joined the Instruments Advanced Manufacturing Engineering team, progressing to senior project engineer. 

In 2016, Lentner joined Accelerate as the Organizational Change Management (OCM) leader for the Corporate, CMF and Instruments deployments. This included workstream focuses on Procure to Pay, Forecast to Supply, RAQA and Manufacturing. He was also responsible for the Coupa deployments made in concert with the SAP ecosystem deployments at the above commercial divisions. In addition, Lentner led the OCM program for the successful global launch of Concur, a travel and expense management system. Most recently, he led the OCM programs for the successful launch of all Accelerate systems at the RHQ and for the implementation of Coupa at the Medical, Endoscopy, Sustainability, Trauma & Extremities, Spine and Joint Replacement US Commercial divisions.

Lentner currently leads the OCM for multiple Accelerate deployments, including R3 European Regional Headquarters (RHQ), R5 Medical Division, Concur global deployment and the Coupa Go Fast program. He partners with the Accelerate program and deployment teams to develop change management strategies for each deployment and leads the OCM plan execution to prepare people and teams for using their new ways of working to take care of customers at the highest level. He also closely partners with the training and deployment readiness teams to ensure a cohesive and coordinated deployment experience. He has a strong record of delivering excellent results and building talent-rich teams in his leadership roles in Engineering, Operations, Human Resources, International Marketing and Quality Assurance at both the divisional and corporate levels.

Lentner is a member of the CEAS Mechanical & Aerospace Engineering Advisory Board and the Lee Honors College Advisory Board. He is also the Treasurer for the 12th Street Elementary PTO and a member of the Board of Directors for the Portage Community Center. Kurt is married to Jennifer (WMU ‘96); their daughter, Elise, is 9. They reside in Kalamazoo.
