Joseph Schuetz

Joe works with Foundation Scholars and Medallion Scholars providing holistic, wraparound support to the recipients of these prestigious scholarship programs. In addition to supporting the students, Joe also serves as a liaison for the community partners who work with the programs on their cohort service projects as well as campus and community partners to further the mission of these important programs. 

Joe's research interests focus on retention and student success among first-generation honors students. He is also a PhD student in the Department of Sociology, with research interests centering on embodiment and scientific representation in sociology of science and religiosity/spirituality. In his free time he enjoys playing guitar, reading, and traveling. His favorite dinosaur in the dinosaur park is the stegosaurus - a favorite since childhood.
