Lee Honors College senior Taylor Lerman is currently serving as a teaching intern at Northeastern Elementary--a Kalamazoo school with a high population of underserved students. Taylor and her fellow WMU interns noticed that the teachers often buy snacks with their own funds and are looking to bless the teachers with the gift of snacks for their classrooms this holiday season. To support Taylor’s goal, Lee Honors College is collecting donations of individually wrapped snacks in our lobby through Friday, Dec. 9. Possible donation ideas include granola bars, Nutri-Grain bars, crackers, dried fruit, trail mix and applesauce cups or pouches. Funds to purchase snacks will also be accepted at the Lee Honors College front desk. All proceeds from this drive go directly to students in need.
