Thesis Defense Certificate Request

Please submit this form at least 1 month (30 days) prior to your scheduled defense date and time.

Please do not submit this form more than 60 days in advance of your defense. Submitting this form any earlier may result in lost or damaged defense packets which will require that they be generated again, and this wastes time and resources for us all. If you have any questions at all about submitting this form, please contact Jennifer Townsend.

Please make sure that all information is spelled correctly and as you would like it to appear on your defense certificate and ScholarWorks form.

Your defense packet must be completed by your committee at your defense. We will notify you via your email address when it is ready to be picked up at the front desk.

Thesis Celebration Days

Deadline for registering for thesis celebration days is Monday, March 30 at 5 p.m. You may still request space in the honors college after this deadline, but your presentation will not be judged and you will not be eligible to win for best thesis presentation.

Join us April 14, 15, 16, and 17, 2020 to present and defend your thesis, and stick around to attend other presentations! This is a fantastic opportunity to share your thesis with your peers. You could also win an award for your presentation!

If you would like to take advantage of a Thesis Celebration time, please indicate your first, second, and third choices for date and time. Times are awarded on a first come, first served basis, but we will do our best to accommodate your needs.

One-hour windows beginning at 9 a.m. and ending by 4 p.m. on Tuesday April 14, Wednesday, April 15, Thursday, April 16, and Friday, April 17, 2020. Please be sure to list both the date and the start time when listing your three choices. Start times will only occur on the hour (e.g., 10, not 10:30).

If you have any questions about Thesis Celebration Days, please give us a call at (269) 387-3230, or contact Jennifer Townsend via email.
