Notice of Labor Condition Application Filing

This organization, Western Michigan University, is filing a Labor Condition Application with the United States Department of Labor, Employment and Training Administration, United States Employment Service. The Application is the requisite step for the organization to obtain authorization to employ an H-1B nonimmigrant temporary worker.  This organization is seeking authorization for one (1) H-1B worker for the position of Program Manager and Advisor GUFE for the Haworth College of Business. The occupational classification for the position is Educational, Guidance, and Career Counselors and Advisors (SOC Code 21-1012). The position will be performing services at the location address of Haworth College of Business, 1903 W. Michigan Avenue, Schneider Hall, Academic Advising Room 2350.  The period of employment is from dates March 1, 2026 through February 28, 2029. The organization considers both U.S. workers and foreign workers who have obtained or who are able to obtain employment authorization.

Upon written request to Brian Childs, Senior Director of International Student and Scholar Services, 1903 W. Michigan Ave. Kalamazoo, MI 49008-5246, copies of the Labor Condition Application and supporting documents will be available for examination. Compensation for this position is provided at the annual rate of $49,971 dollars with eligibility for standard fringe benefits. Two copies of this notice have been posted on, or within 30 days before, the filing date of the labor condition application, and shall remain posted for a total of ten (10) business days, as required by federal regulation. 

Complaints alleging misrepresentation of material facts in the Labor Condition Application and/or failure to comply with the terms of the Labor Condition Application may be filed with any office of the Wage and Hour Division of the United States Department of Labor.
