Harnessing the power of partnership, embracing the strength in diversity
Dr. Edward B. Montgomery took the reins of Western Michigan University on Aug. 1, 2017. His selection by the WMU Board of Trustees was announced April 12 following a nationwide search.
President Montgomery's formal installation as the University's ninth president took place Friday, Sept. 15, during WMU's CommUniverCity weekend, an event designed to highlight and celebrate the deep ties and strong connection between the University and its home community of Kalamazoo.

Dr. Edward B. Montgomery, who will become president of WMU Aug. 1, will be formally inaugurated Friday, Sept. 15, during an 11 a.m. ceremony in Miller Auditorium.
