Dr. Shrabanti Roy is an assistant professor in Western Michigan University's Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering. She earned her Ph.D. in mechanical engineering from Mississippi State University and a Master of Science from Prairie View A&M University in Texas. Roy’s research includes chemical kinetics, detailed mechanism generation of fuels used in engine combustion, mechanism reduction and reduced model application through computational fluid dynamics. She has experience in alternative fuels and renewable energy technology (wind turbine). Her teaching interest is in courses concentrated in thermal fluid.
