The Lee Honors College and the Office of Admissions co-sponsor the Medallion Scholarship Program, Western Michigan University’s most prestigious merit-based scholarship for undergraduates. The Medallion scholarship is among the largest merit-based scholarship programs in American higher education and is valued at approximately $90,920 over the course of four years. Each year, WMU selects a cohort of up to 20 Medallion Scholars. Read more about the Medallion Scholarship selection process here.

As Broncos, Medallion Scholars are members of WMU’s Lee Honors College and thus receive the diverse benefits of an honors college education. Medallion Scholars demonstrate The Medallion Ethic, which is a spirit of commitment to excellence and leadership that challenges each Medallion Scholar to make a difference.
