The 12th Annual Western Michigan University Medical Humanities Conference is scheduled for September 22-23, 2022; it will be hybridized, offering both in-person and virtual presentations. The call for abstracts has now closed, but we would be happy to consider alternates and replacements on a rolling basis.

CONFERENCE PROGRAM & PLATFORM

The schedule overview and complete conference program are now available!  Abstracts are also available for all presentations.

REGISTRATION

Conference registration is now open! We have registration options for both on-site and virtual presenters.

Conference Venue and Travel

The conference will convene at the WMU Homer Stryker M.D. School of Medicine at 300 Portage Street. Kalamazoo is accessible by air (AZO), train (KAL), and Interstate 94! Please reach out to the conference organizers if you need advice on travel arrangements.

CONFERENCE HOTELS

There is no official conference hotel, but two hotels—the Radisson Plaza Hotel and the Hilton Garden Inn—are within a 10-minute walk of the conference site, while a third—the Comfort Inn Downtown—will take about 15 minutes. There is parking on-site at the conference and several other hotel options around Kalamazoo within a 15-minute drive/Uber/Lyft ride. There are also several historic houses downtown that are now bed and breakfasts, including the Kalamazoo House and the Stuart Avenue Inn. If you would like to discuss hotel specifics or would like more information, don’t hesitate to reach out to the conference organizers.
