WMU's military population

One of the largest on-campus military student populations in Michigan

Western Michigan University is proud to be known as a military-friendly university. Here is a snapshot of WMU's Fall 2024 military student population:

• There are almost 900 military students enrolled at WMU. This number includes currently serving, veteran and dependent students. 
• 374 students identify as female and 515 identify as male.
• There are 819 undergraduate students and 70 graduate students.
• The average military student GPA is 3.08.
• There were 159 military students on the dean's list last spring.
