One of the largest on-campus military student populations in Michigan
Western Michigan University is proud to be known as a military-friendly university. Here is a snapshot of WMU's Fall 2019 military student population:
- There are 824 military students enrolled at WMU. This number includes active duty, veteran and dependent students.
- 295 students are female and 528 are male.
- There are 663 undergraduate students and 161 graduate students.
- There is at least one military student in 176 academic programs at WMU.
- The average military student GPA is 3.08.
- There were 159 military students on the dean's list last spring.
- 60 military students will graduate this fall. This number includes both undergraduates and graduates.
