Western to host fall 2025 career fairs connecting students with leading employers
KALAMAZOO, Mich.—Western Michigan University is launching its fall 2025 career fair season with an extensive lineup of events designed to connect students and recent graduates with a wide range of professional opportunities.
Beginning Thursday, Sept. 18, the season will feature industry-specific career fairs, complete with guided tours to help participants navigate the events effectively. In addition to traditional fairs, WMU is also offering a unique networking opportunity on Tuesday, Oct. 7, allowing participants and employers to engage in an informal setting centered on career exploration, workplace culture and professional growth.

Hosted by Beta Alpha Psi, this carer fair on Sept. 18 is geared toward accounting, finance, business information systems and analytics majors. Students will have the opportunity to meet and network with representatives from employers including CPA firms, private companies and governmental entities. Held in the Fetzer Center, networking for Beta Alpha Psi students and alumni will be held from 6 to 6:30 p.m. Networking is open to all WMU students and alumni from 6:30 to 8 p.m.
Sept. 18 - Oct. 9, students can discover how to navigate a career fair with the help of experts. Drop in during the following dates and times for a 15-minute tour experience during the fairs this fall.

- DigitalWMU Marketing and Advertising Career Fair—Oct. 3, 1:30-2:30 p.m., WMU Student Center
- Sales, Marketing and Food Marketing Career Night—Oct. 6, 3:30-4:30 p.m., Fetzer Center
- Supply Chain Career Night—Oct. 8, 3:30-4:30 p.m., Fetzer Center
- Business Career Day—Oct. 9, 10:30-11:30 a.m., Fetzer Center
On Sept. 24, from 1 to 4:30 p.m. in the main lobby of Floyd Hall on Western’s Parkview Campus, more than 150 companies from the state, the region and across the nation will attend the event to recruit and connect with WMU students for co-op, internship and full-time positions.
On Oct. 2, from 5 to 6 p.m. in Room 1220 of Schneider Hall, students can what to do at a virtual career fair and how to achieve their career fair goals; discussions surrounding topics related to job or internship searching and personal branding will be encouraged.
Oct. 3, 2 to 5 p.m. in the second floor ballroom of the WMU Student Center, this fair will focus on Great Lakes businesses, agencies and organizations from Chicago to Detroit hiring in areas of digital marketing and media, advertising, customer experience and analytics. Email for more information.
Oct. 6, 4 to 7 p.m., at the Fetzer Center ballroom, the career fair is hosted by the Zhang Career Center. Students will have the opportunity to network with employers recruiting for various marketing positions. Email for more information.
Oct. 7, 6 to 7:30 p.m., in Reed Fieldhouse, students can join Career and Student Employment Services and WMU Athletics-Broncos Empowered for an informal networking event, distinct from traditional career fairs. Networking Like a Bronco is designed to connect students and employers to discuss company cultures, career pathways and available roles or to seek general career advice.
Oct. 8, 4 to 7 p.m. at the Fetzer Center, students will have the opportunity to network with employers recruiting for various supply chain positions at this fair hosted by the Zhang Career Center. Email for more information.
Oct. 9, 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Fetzer Center, the Zhang Career Center will host companies from the state, region and throughout the nation attend this event to recruit and connect with WMU students for co-op, internship and full-time positions. Email for more information.
Oct. 23, 1 to 4 p.m. at Floyd Hall on Western’s Parkview Campus, a specialty job fair will be held for students majoring in applied mathematics, data science, computer science, cybersecurity, statistics or related disciplines. Learn about job opportunities in the field of IT with emphasis in data analytics, computer science and cybersecurity. Employers hiring for internship, co-op and full-time opportunities.
Oct. 29, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the second floor lobby of Wood Hall, another specialty job fair will be held for employers who seek to hire students for internships or full-time opportunities in the biomedical, environmental, laboratory, pharmaceutical, research and sustainable brewing industries.
In addition to connecting at campus career fairs in the fall and spring, representatives from Career and Student Employment Services and the Zhang Career Center have conversations with hundreds of employers about their hiring needs that lead to thousands of full- and part-time internships and jobs posted to the online career site Handshake.
