At the Haworth College of Business, we don’t only care about our students succeeding in the classroom. We want to make sure you’re ready to take that next step into your career. The Zhang Career Center empowers you to launch a successful business career with confidence.

Our innovative programming helps you learn the skills you need to confidently articulate and demonstrate your career readiness to future employers. And our partnerships with global, regional and local leaders give you access to these potential employers through networking events, career fairs and more.

What we do

The Zhang Career Center in Western Michigan University's Haworth College of Business is a single location where you can find career development advising, career readiness events and career fair information.

Our staff is ready to assist you with everything you need to graduate from WMU and hit the ground running. This includes:

  • Revising your resume to grab the attention of employers.
  • Picking a major that matches your interests.
  • Narrowing down a career path inside your chosen field.
  • Becoming more confident in showcasing your professional skills.
  • Identifying skill gaps you need to address before graduation.

We offer career advising to all undergraduate and graduate business students, as well as recent alumni who are entering into their first professional position after graduation. Our staff can help you with your career development, assist you with planning and answer any questions you may have.
