We stand with the people of Ukraine

Dear campus community,

We are saddened by and condemn in the strongest possible terms the aggression and bloodshed unfolding in Ukraine. The violence destroying lives and causing destruction in the country is unconscionable.

As an international campus that welcomes students and scholars from around the globe and advances a fundamental belief in the dignity of all human beings, we stand with the people of Ukraine and all people under threat in this area of the world.

Our campus is home to citizens from many nations, including in Eastern Europe. Living abroad while loved ones are under potential threat is frightening and painful. Counseling services and other resources are available to those experiencing distress. The Western Student Association has compiled a listing of those resources for our community, including for students, faculty, staff, alumni and others.

Students may call (269) 387-1850 to set up a time to connect with a counselor at Sindecuse Health Center. Faculty and staff interested in seeking counseling may avail themselves of services through the Employee Assistance Program.

Sincerely,
