Committees

Following is the list of standing committees of the Professional Staff Association of Western (PSAW). Use the contact links to connect with committees for more information. All committees are interested in growing with new members.

In addition to their specific purpose, these committees also perform other duties as assigned by the President or the Executive Board. 

Ad hoc committees are established by the President of the association with the approval of the Executive Board.

The Awards and Recognition Committee administers the association's awards program and scholarship fund, including selecting recipients.

The Events Committee coordinates and facilitates social and networking events for PSAW members. This includes general membership meetings, an annual Awards Luncheon, and summer and holiday gatherings.

The Membership Committee develops strategies to encourage active membership. This committee is also responsible for maintaining lists of PSAW-eligible employees, active members and retiree members.

The Nominations and Elections Committee oversees the annual election of officers and representatives for PSAW's Executive Board.  This includes calculating the Executive Board’s composition, soliciting nominations, preparing slates of candidates, tallying results, and reporting results to the Board.
