Exceptional finish for sales students in national sales competition

This year’s competition featured a virtual selling experience, consisting of two events—speed selling and sales call role-play. In the speed-selling competition, students rotated through two-minute Zoom interviews with company executives where they pitched themselves for a job. The second component of the competition was sales call role-play where students showcased their skills by delivering a virtual sales presentation and conducting a virtual sales meeting.

Engineering student eases University scheduling process

Olimat and Lynn set up the platform and created a malleable master schedule so staff could know where resources were being used, which projects needed more work hours and how to adjust the work in case of delays. After a short time on the job, Lynn began to take him around to the job sites to see how the construction projects were put together. That experience is what Olimat has valued most. He says his supervisors always brought him in on the project, encouraged him to ask questions and showed him the different processes, giving him invaluable experience.

Fresh out of college, the Michigan native joined the Douglas Aircraft Co . on the West Coa st after a year-long internship during which she rotated among the firm's marketing, technical-publication and field-service departments. That led to a full-time job in the latter as a Douglas representative stationed at hubs for aircraft maintenance and engineering to address issues between the manufacturer and airlines flying her company's products.
