During data collection, she often has the opportunity to engage with and represent consumers and identify opportunities and insights through research. “Representing the consumer is my favorite part of my job, and lucky for me, it’s what my job is all about,” she says. Sports Media students getting real-world experience with ESPN3

"The benefit to our students is the experience of working with the latest broadcast equipment and the ability to include ESPN3 work experience on their resumes," Cutler says. "Our students are gaining so much 'real world' experience from this course that I'm confident they'll have no problems getting a job in this industry." WMU's Sports Media students get to operate cameras, video switchers, audio consoles and other high-tech equipment provided by the School of Communication and Bronco Productions.

BroncoJobs Web platform gets major makeover

Kelly-Albertson notes that alumni will now be able to use the system's job-search services by requesting an account. Campus units can create a profile under the umbrella of WMU by choosing a division with their unit's specific name. Once the account is established, representatives of the units can post job openings and search for students seeking jobs. In addition, employers will be able to search student resumes and contact students directly through BroncoJobs if the student has made their resume public.
