Area employers encouraged to participate in Part-Time Job Fair

Those interested in participating should note that some students do not have transportation, so they will be seeking jobs nearer to campus or on a MetroTransit bus line. The Part-Time Job Fair is being sponsored by WMU's Career and Student Employment Services and the Western Student Association. It will draw hundreds of students who will share their resumes, complete employment applications and impress participants with their desire to work.

WMU seniors to showcase capstone projects

The students have designed a pump system that can be built from common materials in Burkina Faso and Senegal which transports over 1000 gallons per week without electricity. A working model of the team's design will be on display during the conference. "By taking on this job, we are looking at a system that is either hazardous or inefficient in doing the activity needed. It refers to the target area's present water transportation infrastructure.
