Professor and student present at MITESOL
Dr. Selena Protacio, assistant professor of literacy studies, and Kristhyna Fermin, literacy studies graduate student, presented at the Michigan Teachers of English to Speakers of Other Languages (MITESOL) conference held on October 17-18 in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Their presentation focused on developing a valid and reliable reading motivation assessment specifically for English Language Learners. This research is funded by a College of Education and Human Development grant. Colleagues from Oakland University, Dr. Bong Gee Jang and graduate student Narges Gol joined Protacio and Fermin during their presentation.
