Associate professor Susan Piazza will receive Teacher of the Year award

Associate professor Susan Piazza will receive the Michigan Reading Association’s 2016 Teacher Educator of the Year award. Dr. Piazza is being recognized for her outstanding influence as a teacher educator and researcher as she supports students, teachers, administrators, parents, and collaborates with community organizations in support of literacy education that is socially, culturally, and linguistically responsive to all students. 

The award will be presented at MRA’s Annual Conference, Reading All-Stars, during the general session on Saturday, March 19, 2016 at the Cobo Center in Detroit, MI.
