Pre-Secondary Education Pathway
The College of Arts and Sciences at Western Michigan University, in collaboration with the College of Education and Human Development, offers secondary education teacher certification through a graduate certification pathway (for students beginning catalog year fall 2020 and beyond). Students complete a bachelor’s degree in one of the designated teachable subject areas through the College of Arts and Sciences, and then complete the one-year master’s degree in secondary education through the College of Education and Human Development.
