Have you been asked to create a research poster, but are uncertain how to proceed? Attend this free session to learn the basic information for hosting a poster session. This workshop is appropriate for graduate students in any academic program at the master's and doctoral level and will include helpful information such as:Resources for creating a research posterDos and don'ts of designing a compelling research poster How to talk about your poster in less than 5-minutes Best practices for authorship (levels of contribution, order)View examples of posters and learn how to tailor your poster to meet various departmental or conference requirements. This session is co-facilitated by Dr. Drew Thompson, assistant professor of biology, and Alexa Nussio, interim director of the WMU Writing Center.

The College of Health and Human Services Interprofessional Education Committee in partnership with Addiction Studies at WMU will host Kendall Conway from the Kalamazoo County Health and Community Services Department and Nancy King from COPE Network for a Harm Reduction Presentation. Attendees will learn about stigma, opioid overdose reversal and Naloxone. Free Narcan kit's will be available at the presentation.
