Bio:

Emily Anthony is an accomplished Family and Consumer Science educator with over a decade of experience equipping students with essential life skills and preparing them for future success. At Portage Northern High School, she taught a wide array of courses including Health, Freshman Focus, Child Development & Parenting, Interior Design, and Foods & Nutrition. She is recognized for her skill in developing innovative curricula, organizing lab-based instruction, and fostering inclusive classrooms that support diverse learners.

Beyond the classroom, Emily has been a leader and mentor, serving as a new teacher mentor and student intern mentor, helping both colleagues and aspiring educators succeed. She has also contributed to curriculum committees, advised peer leadership programs, and supported grant writing and program expansion initiatives.

Emily holds a Master of Arts in the Practice of Teaching with a concentration in K–12 Curriculum and Instruction and a Bachelor of Science in Education in Family & Consumer Science and Business Education, both from Western Michigan University. Emily is now bringing her passion and expertise to the college level, where she teaches courses for future educators. She is excited to be a Bronco again and eager to inspire and guide the next generation of teachers, sharing her experience to help them grow into confident and effective professionals.
