The Haenicke Institute for Global Education proudly marks the 50th Anniversary of the Center for English Language and Culture for International Students (CELCIS). Since 1975, CELCIS has helped hundreds of students worldwide master English and achieve academic success. Some pursue degrees, others join short-term programs, but all leave with a skill that opens doors globally. English is more than a language—it’s a passport to business, diplomacy and opportunity. Explore photos from the celebration and read an inspiring story about how CELCIS supports blind students from South Korea each year. The Center welcomed 43 students from 13 countries this fall.
