The Interdisciplinary Health Sciences Ph.D. program prepares professionals for a wide range of careers across healthcare, public health and human services.   • Nationally recognized: The Association of Doctoral Programs in Health Sciences (ADPHS) in 2022, has bestowed the Program of Merit status on the Interdisciplinary Health Sciences Ph.D. Program. It is one of only five doctoral programs in the country to obtain this distinction. 

  • Innovative, accessible design: A flexible, high-quality doctoral model for working professionals, blending weekend and summer on-campus sessions with distance learning. 

  • Deeply interdisciplinary impact: Faculty and dissertation committees span 17 departments and 80+ national institutions, preparing graduates to solve complex health challenges.

  • Student defrayment of educational expenses, including tuition and fees, required materials and travel directly related to the completion of the dissertation.  
  • Student engagement in independent scholarly research, scientific inquiry and inventive technological activities.

  • $5,000 provides immediate partial scholarship support 

  • $50,000 endows a named scholarship or fund
