General summary
Directs a division on financial planning, budgeting, capital and infrastructure planning and policy matters.
Major duties
- Advises a division on financial planning and infrastructure planning and policy. Develops and oversees a regulated funds strategy, capital and infrastructure projects and related accounts. Provides consultation in development of implementation strategies.
- Develops project plans, timelines and resolves operational issues. Hires and collaborates with external partners.
- Monitors department and project budgets to ensure compliance with budgetary guidelines.
- Analyzes trends and predicts capital costs. Monitors higher education, industry and market trends to ensure competitiveness.
- Evaluates new and current business strategies that support student recruitment and retention and utilization of auxiliary services. Researches and recommends process improvement strategies.
- Oversees the administration of contracts. Monitors and evaluates contractual relationships. Collaborates with the purchasing department to develop proposals.
- Implements and participates in the planning and strategy development for housing and dining facilities. Develops and coordinates the annual deferred maintenance project planning cycle.
- Hires, trains, evaluates, and supervises staff.
Minimum qualifications

Required education
- Master's degree in related field from an accredited institution.
Required experience
- Eight years' relevant experience.
- Professional accounting or financial experience.
- Advanced spreadsheet skills.
- Strong analytical skills.
Physical requirements
Office or other indoor work with minimal physical demands such as occasionally lifting or moving materials less than 25 pounds.
Working conditions
Work is generally performed in a well-lit, temperature-controlled indoor environment with occasional exposure to the outdoors or any number of elements.
