General summary

Oversees the execution of the recruitment and admissions scholarship process for undergraduate students.

Major duties

  • Develops, coordinates and facilitates first year and transfer recruitment process and yield strategies to ensure institutional presence, market recognition and strategic use of institutional personnel and fiscal resources. Maximizes resources by utilizing Customer Relationship Management (CRM) and other reporting resources to establish goals and monitor and evaluate progress.
  • Supervises personnel within the unit. Oversees and administers policies and procedures for admissions staff and evaluates performance.
  • Serves as a liaison and collaborates with college recruiters and key University partners who oversee recruitment activities.
  • Oversees admission scholarship programs and provides continuous improvement practices to enhance admission goals while maintaining budget implications.
  • Collaborates to provide oversight of recruitment activities, application submission and monitoring yield progress and ensures that scholarship practices support admission outcomes.
  • Serves in a leadership role for the application review committee. Acts in consultation with leadership to determine outcomes of special circumstances.
  • Hires, trains, evaluates and supervises staff.

Minimum qualifications

Required education

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field from an accredited institution.

Required experience

  • Five years' relevant experience.
  • Experience in admissions, recruitment and student services or related field.
  • Strong organizational interpersonal.
  • Strong verbal communication skills.
  • Understanding of technology applications related to admissions.

Required other

  • Ability to travel in and out of state.

Physical requirements

Office or other indoor work with minimal physical demands such as occasionally lifting or moving materials less than 25 pounds.

Working conditions

Work is generally performed in a well-lit, temperature-controlled indoor environment with occasional exposure to the outdoors or any number of elements.
