General summary

Plans and directs the University’s annual giving campaign and related fundraising programs.

Major duties

  • Develops and executes comprehensive multi-channel fundraising campaigns in close collaboration with University Advancement staff to drive donor engagement and philanthropic support.
  • Establishes annual fund campaign goals, timelines, and measurable outcomes. Creates evaluation tools and analytics methods to assess segmentation and communication strategies effectiveness in collaboration with advancement services.
  • Serves as the liaison to college and unit-based partners. Provides strategic consultation on annual fund campaigns, coordinates annual giving calendars, and supports unit-specific goals.
  • Develops targeted strategies for specific donor segments.
  • Oversees program evaluation and reporting systems. Compiles and analyzes data to measure fundraising effectiveness. Leverages data insights to inform future strategy and improve performance.
  • Collaborates with vendors to coordinate printing, mailing and fulfilment of campaign materials. Monitors vendor performance and manages vendor contracts.
  • Manages unit budgets, including making projections and recommendations.

Minimum qualifications

Minimum qualifications based upon job documentation and industry best practices. Any current employees not meeting these qualifications will be grandfathered until they move to a different job.

Required education

  • Bachelor's degree in related field from an accredited institution.

Required experience

  • Two years' relevant experience.
  • Professional experience with fundraising, marketing, communications, or a related field.
  • Experience with project management.
  • Proficient with donor management or customer relationship management software.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Budget management experience.

Required other

  • Ability to work irregular shifts and extended hours, including evenings and weekends.

Physical requirements

Office or other indoor work with minimal physical demands such as occasionally lifting or moving materials less than 25 pounds.

Working conditions

Work is generally performed in a well-lit, temperature-controlled indoor environment with occasional exposure to the outdoors or any number of elements.
