General summary

Directs the operations and administration of Center for Disability Services and Unified Clinics.

Major duties

  • Provides leadership and directs the Center for Disability Services and Unified Clinics.
  • Responsible for fiscal integrity of clinical operations. Oversees auxiliary budgets, medical and contract billing, private pay billing, collections and fiscal integrity of department operations, to maintain financial solvency. Develops contracts and builds internal and external relationships with funders to ensure the success of the departments’ missions.
  • Provides strategic business planning and development to seek new opportunities to expand the mission of the College and its departments. Develops business relationships, responds to requests for proposals, and creates start-up opportunities for new clinical practices.
  • Oversees patient operations to ensure quality outcomes for clients and patients and a quality educational environment for University students. Collaborates with clinic executive counsel, chairs, and the center's staff to ensure the overall success of operations.
  • Provides clinical supervision and clinical leadership for programs serving adults with disabilities and aging adults. Maintains evidence-based practices and knowledge of current trends in the field.
  • Collaborates with the University community on contracts, leases, and finances. Collaborates with external consistencies on business and general outreach.
  • Collaborates with the College of Health and Human Services leadership and advisory board to communicate operational and financial issues that impact the Center for Disability Services and the Unified Clinics.
  • Hires, trains, evaluates, and supervises staff and student employees.

Minimum qualifications

Minimum qualifications based upon job documentation and industry best practices. Any current employees not meeting these qualifications will be grandfathered until they move to a different job.

Required education

  • Doctoral degree in healthcare or healthcare administration from an accredited institution.

Required experience

  • Five years' relevant experience.
  • Supervisory experience.
  • Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
  • Knowledge of regulations and protocols governing care of and services for the disabled.
  • Experience in budget forecasting and strategic planning.
  • Experience in the management or administration of programs for disabled persons.

Required other

  • Clinical licensure healthcare related field (e.g., social work, clinical psychology, board certified behavior analyst). Must qualify as a QIDP for Medicaid billing purposes.

Physical requirements

Office or other indoor work with minimal physical demands such as occasionally lifting or moving materials less than 25 pounds.

Working conditions

Work is generally performed in a well-lit, temperature-controlled indoor environment with occasional exposure to the outdoors or any number of elements.
