General summary
Directs Auxiliary Enterprises operations and staff for multiple complex departments.
Major duties
- Manages all aspects of multiple complex, revenue generating businesses.
- Oversees financial and business plans, budgets and financial statements. Ensures fiscal integrity of auxiliary central operations. Develops and oversees contracts. Maintains internal and external relationships to ensure mission is being met.
- Develops short and long-term planning models for the department. Collaborates with management staff to develop and implement marketing and financial strategies.
- Develops, implements and oversees policies and procedures to ensure adherence to University and applicable regulations.
- Hires, trains, evaluates and supervises staff for various auxiliary departments. Provides direction to management staff and resolves personnel and operational issues.
Minimum qualifications
Minimum qualifications based upon job documentation and industry best practices. Any current employees not meeting these qualifications will be grandfathered until they move to a different job.
Required education
- Master's degree in related field from an accredited institution.
Required experience
- Eight years' relevant experience.
Physical requirements
Office or other indoor work with minimal physical demands such as occasionally lifting or moving materials less than 25 pounds.
Working conditions
Work is generally performed in a well-lit, temperature-controlled indoor environment with occasional exposure to the outdoors or any number of elements.
