General summary

Strategic leader responsible for Supply chain Functions, Auxiliary Service Units, and overseeing contracted services. Oversees the financial and operational performance of various auxiliary services, ensuring fiscal integrity, driving continuous improvement, and delivering exceptional service to meet the evolving needs of the University.

Major duties

  • Responsible for overseeing financial and business plans for the various auxiliary services operations to ensure fiscal integrity, drive continuous improvement and meet customer needs.
  • Direct the Supply Chain Team to enhance operational efficiency, reduce costs, and align business strategies. Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors.
  • Collaborate with the Supply Chain Team and Auxiliary Units to develop both short- and long-term strategies that address challenges in a dynamic environment, ensuring alignment with the University's goals and mission.
  • Provide leadership and guidance on campus operations and business processes to foster continuous improvement and best practices.
  • Act as a strategic partner, offering insights and recommendations to ensure decisions benefit the University while adhering to policies and practical considerations.
  • Support and mentor team members, fostering their professional growth and creating a strong team culture.
  • Develop and implement policies, procedures, and guidelines to ensure compliance with University standards and industry regulations.
  • May serve as a subject matter expert on various cross functional committees.

Minimum qualifications

Minimum qualifications based upon job documentation and industry best practices. Any current employees not meeting these qualifications will be grandfathered until they move to a different job.

Required education

  • Bachelor's degree in related field from an accredited institution

Required experience

  • Eight years' relevant experience.
  • Supervisory experience.
  • Budget experience.
  • Negotiating experience.
  • Mentoring experience.

Physical requirements

Office or other indoor work with minimal physical demands such as occasionally lifting or moving materials less than 25 pounds.

Working conditions

Work is generally performed in a well-lit, temperature-controlled indoor environment with occasional exposure to the outdoors or any number of elements.
