General summary
Directs the organization and implementation of the College of Aviation daily flight scheduling. Implements safety and record-keeping for flight operations.
Major duties
- Manages the education and training administration web-based system used for scheduling, dispatching, student financial records, and students’ training records for flight operations.
- Develops and maintains course, equipment and student schedules for the college to ensure student progress and compliance with Federal Aviation Administration pilot training requirements.
- Coordinates aircraft and simulator scheduling with maintenance operations.
- Maintains the scheduling and student record software, ensuring the accuracy and confidentiality of academic and flight training records.
- Provides training to end-users of scheduling and student record software.
- Hires, trains, evaluates, and supervises staff and student employees.
Minimum qualifications
Minimum qualifications based upon job documentation and industry best practices. Any current employees not meeting these qualifications will be grandfathered until they move to a different job.
Required education
- Some college coursework from an accredited institution.
Required experience
- Three years’ relevant experience.
- Supervisory or lead experience.
Physical requirements
Office or other indoor work with minimal physical demands such as occasionally lifting or moving materials less than 25 pounds.
Working conditions
Work is generally performed in a well-lit, temperature-controlled indoor environment with occasional exposure to the outdoors or any number of elements.
