General summary
Provides and coordinates support to the Center for Academic Success Programs and the TRIO Student Success Program.
Major duties
- Provides student support services to new and returning student success program students, including academic advising and teaching a First Year Experience course.
- Coordinates the academic component of the TRIO Student Success Program.
- Schedules mentor training sessions, evaluates mentor job performance and resolves conflicts and personnel issues. Trains academic mentors. Creates weekly activities.
- Schedules student tutoring sessions with appropriate student employees. Provides connection to all tutoring services available on campus.
- Monitors all academic services expenditures to ensure adherence to budget.
Minimum qualifications
Minimum qualifications based upon job documentation and industry best practices. Any current employees not meeting these qualifications will be grandfathered until they move to a different job.
Required education
- Bachelor's degree in related field from an accredited institution.
Required experience
- One year's relevant experience.
Physical requirements
Office or other indoor work with minimal physical demands such as occasionally lifting or moving materials less than 25 pounds.
Working conditions
Work is generally performed in a well-lit, temperature-controlled indoor environment with occasional exposure to the outdoors or any number of elements.
